About LIC AAO(Generalists)

LIC invited applications for the Post of Assistant Administrative Officers(AAO- Generalists) 2025 via Online mode as per the notification published in LIC’s Official Website.

Brief Information about LIC AAO(Generalists)

Only online mode of applications will be invited.
One candidate should apply for one post only.
In case of multiple applications for single post, latest valid complete application will be held for record.
Candidates seeking age relaxations should submit necessary documents at the time of Interview.

Emoluments and Benefits

Basic Pay: Rs. 88,635/- per month in the scale of Rs. 88,635-4385(14)-150,025-4750(4)-169,025 and other admissible allowances.

Total emoluments including House Rent, City Compensatory Allowance etc in Tier 1 city : Rs. 126,000/- per month.

Probation Period

One Year from the date of Joining.
May be extended to Two years.

Guarantee Bond for LIC AAO

Min. 4 years of undertaking to serve LIC from the date of joining including probationary period.
Failing which he/she or his/her heirs , executors, administrators will be liable to pay liquidated damages of Rs. 5,00,000. (Rs. Five Lakh)
Deed of Indemnity at his/her cost, duly stamped and Notarized.

Application Fee

For SC/ST/PwBD Candidates: Intimation charges of Rs. 85 + GST + Transaction Charges.
For all other Candidates: Application Fee-cum-intimation Charges of Rs. 700/- + GST + Transaction Charges.

Phases of Examination for Recruitment of LIC AAO(Generalist)

Recruitment of AAO (Specialists)(Chartered Accountants/ Company Secretary/ Actuarial/ Insurance Specialists/ Engineering

Phase 1: Preliminary Exam

Three Sections.
Separate timing for each section.
No answer marked , No penalty.
Sectional cutoffs for each sections (Minimum marks for each section).
English Language Section: Qualifying in nature.

Phase 2: Mains Exam

Objective type test
Total 300 Marks
Descriptive Test fro 25 Marks
Both Objective and Descriptive Test will be online
Descriptive Test via Typing on Computer.
Descriptive test will be administered immediately after the completion of the objective test.
Candidates have to qualify in each sections separately.
Descriptive English test will be qualifying in nature.
Descriptive paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who qualify the objective part ofmains exam.
Marks of Descriptive English paper will not be counted for final ranking.

General Guidelines for Preliminary and Mains Examination

Valid call letter for respective Date and Session of exam with Photo affixed on it.
Photo Identity Proof.
Photo copy of Identity Proof.
Duration of mains exam is 2 Hours and 30 Min. , But candidates are required to be at venue to complete formalities like verification and collection of documents, Biometric Verification etc.

Phase 3: Interview

Marks obtained in Mains exam will be considered for shortlisting candidates for Interview.
Maximum Marks: 60.
Minimum Marks:
- 30 for EWS/Unreserved/OBC
- 27 for SC/ST/PwBD
No. of candidates called for Interview are three times the Total No. of Vacancies.

General Guidelines for Final Selection

Merit Order for Total Vacancies
If similar marks for Two or More candidates in final merit:
- Person with Higher Educational Qualification will be placed Higher.
- In case of similarity in Edu. Qualification, merit order will be decided on age.
LIC will not be bound to take all the candidates with similar mark. It will only take candidates as per vacancies.
No Contingency or waiting list for candidates not declared successful in final merit list.
Marks obtained in Mains and Interview will be considered for Final selection, subject to minimum marks in both the examination.
