Things to keep in mind while applying SBI JA ( Clerk ) 2025 Exam

Candidates may apply for vacancies in one state / UT only.
No provision for Inter Circle or Inter state transfer for Junior Associates.
With respect to Banks extant guidelines, inter state transfer between two circles situated in same state only be permitted
Viz
- Delhi Circle and Chandigarh Circle in Haryana state.
- Delhi Circle and Lucknow Circle in Uttar Pradesh state.
- Mumbai metro Circle and Maharashtra Circle in Maharashtra State.

Merit list will be drawn Category wise, State wise and candidates will be posted in the state for which they are applying, in the event of their selection.

Reservation as per Govt. Guidelines

OBC category reservation belongs to Non-Creamy Layer OBC candidates.
OBC certificate Date ( Non-Creamy Layer ): Certificate issued by Govt of India between 01 April 2025 to the date taking up appointment, if selected.
EWS Reservation: Income and Asset Certificate issued by Competent authority of GoI , for th financial year 2024-25 and valid for 2025-26 as per the extant DoPT guidelines.

All documents to be submitted on Date of Document verification, no extention of time will be provided

SC , ST caste certificate as per the prescribed Govt format.
Latest disability certificate for those who wants to avail reservation under section 34 of RPWD Act , 2016.
Currently working SBI Clerical Cadre employees are not eligible to apply.
Due outstanding balance needs to be cleared on or before the date of Joining.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit :As on 01 April 2025

Not below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01 April 2025
Birth date should be between 02 April 1997 and 01 April 2005 ( both dates are inclusive)

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit

OBC – 3 years
SC/ ST – 5 years
PwBD ( Gen / EWS) – 10 years
PwBD ( OBC ) – 13 years
PwBD ( SC/ ST ) – 15 years

Ex- Servicemen / Disabled Ex-servicemen

Actual period of Service rendered in defence services + 3 years ( 8 years for Disabled Ex-servicemen belonging to SC/ST ) subject to max. Age of 50 years.

For Trained Apprentice of SBI

whose engagement date is on or after 01.01.2025 and successful completion of one year in branch on or before last date of application i.e. 26 August 2028.

Educational Qualification as on 31.12.2025

Graduation on or before 31.12.2025

Online Publication of Result

Date of Result declared on Website will be taken as date of passing.

Matriculate Ex-servicemen with Indian army Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy and Air Force with minimum 15 years old service. Certificates should be dated on or before 31.12.2025.

Trained SBI Apprentice

Candidates who worked as apprentices in SBI starting on or after 01 January 2022, and have successfully completed one year of training in a specific branch by 26 August 2025, will get relaxation in upper age limit. But this is only if their performance and behavior during training were found to be satisfactory.

Also, successful completion of the apprenticeship means:
- to passing of skill evaluation test (Trade Test) and Obtention of joint National Apprenticeship Certificate jointly issued by SBI-NSDC/ BFSI-SSC.

About LLPT Test

Verbal and Non Verbal nature
To score minimum qualifying marks as decided by the bank.

Bonus marks for Trained Apprentice of SBI

In Mains Exam only
2.5 % of maximum marks ( 5 marks out of 200 marks )

Aggregate marks in Mains exam will be considered for the final selection

Verification for Eligibility and information published in online application
Qualification of LLPT.

Salary and Allowances

Starting Basic Pay : Rs. 24,050-1340/3 – 28,070-1650/3 – 33,020 – 2000/4 – 41,020 – 2340/7 – 57,400 – 4400/1 – 61,800 – 2680/1 -64,480.
The starting Basic Pay is Rs.26730/- (Rs.24050/– plus two advance increments admissible to graduates).

Probation Period for newly appointed SBI JA

Six Months from Date of Joining.

Phase 3 : Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT):
- For those who not studied any of the specified local language of the state applied.
